Territories of the Invisible explores the tensions between space, memory, and identity through works that engage with perception and transformation. Paintings trace uncertain boundaries between the public and the private, reality and representation, stability and movement. The three emerging artists delineate shifting borders between these realms. The reflection on urban space intertwines with an investigation into perception and visual memory, transforming personal and collective experiences into new sensory landscapes. Between images that fluctuate between certainty and uncertainty, and interventions that question the relationship between bodies and architecture, the exhibition opens a passage into ever-evolving territories.

Territoris de l’Invisible explora les tensions entre l’espai, la memòria i la identitat a través d’obres que dialoguen amb la percepció i la transformació. Escultures i pintures traçen límits incerts entre allò públic i allò privat, entre la realitat i la representació, l’estabilitat i el moviment. Els tres artistes emergents dibuixen fronteres canviants entre aquests àmbits. La reflexió sobre l’espai urbà s’entrellaça amb una investigació sobre la percepció i la memòria visual, transformant experiències personals i col·lectives en nous paisatges sensorials. Entre imatges que fluctuen entre la certesa i la incertesa, i intervencions que qüestionen la relació entre cossos i arquitectura, l’exposició obre un passatge cap a territoris en constant evolució.
Everything on the canvas is symbolised pictorial language. Images are certain, but the stories they contain are uncertain. Or vice versa. The images reflect the composition of certain perceptions that are written in colours and shapes. The colours reveal temperature and atmosphere. The silhouettes embody the forms. And the texture of the colours is the time and movement of painting.
A picture gives an idea of how something looks or what something is like. My pictures are based on the afterimages that lingered on my sight. These afterimages are the essence of what I have seen. The afterimages are the shapes of the world the way I want to see them. What I saw creates what I have not yet seen. The newly created images reconstruct my vision. The forms and colours outside are transformed into the composition of the pictures inside. A picture is a shadow of perception. Painting itself is a conversation about the perceived world. A picture is a closed space toward an open vision. And it reveals a certain uncertainty.

Tot allò que hi ha al llenç és llenguatge pictòric simbolitzat. Les imatges són certes, però les històries que contenen són incertes. O a l’inrevés. Les imatges reflecteixen la composició de certes percepcions escrites en colors i formes. Els colors revelen temperatura i atmosfera. Les siluetes encarnen les formes. I la textura dels colors és el temps i el moviment de la pintura.
Una imatge dona una idea de com és alguna cosa o de com sembla. Les meves imatges es basen en les imatges persistents que han quedat a la meva vista. Aquestes imatges residuals són l’essència del que he vist. Són les formes del món tal com vull veure’l. El que he vist crea el que encara no he vist. Les imatges novament creades reconstrueixen la meva visió. Les formes i els colors de fora es transformen en la composició de les imatges de dins. Una imatge és una ombra de la percepció. Pintar és, en si mateix, una conversa sobre el món percebut. Una imatge és un espai tancat cap a una visió oberta. I revela una certa incertesa.

Seungjoo Lee investigates the latent tensions within everyday spaces through a painting practice rich in symbolism and perceptual ambiguity. In the paintings of green meadows with lilac flowers, Lee introduces a suspended atmosphere: seemingly idyllic landscapes that, through chromatic and compositional shifts, reveal a subtle tension between naturalness and artificial construction. In the kitchen-themed works, the artist transforms this intimate, functional setting into a silent stage of presence and absence, probing the invisible dynamics that inhabit domestic life. His pictorial language thus opens a space for reflection on the fragility of visual memory and the instability of the boundaries between reality and imagination.

Seungjoo Lee explora les tensions latents dins dels espais quotidians a través d’una pràctica pictòrica carregada de simbolisme i ambigüitat perceptiva. En les pintures de prats verds amb flors lila, Lee introdueix una atmosfera suspesa: paisatges aparentment idíl·lics que, mitjançant desviacions cromàtiques i compositives, revelen una tensió subtil entre la naturalitat i la construcció artificial. En les obres amb el tema de la cuina, l’artista transforma aquest espai íntim i funcional en un escenari silenciós de presències i absències, qüestionant les dinàmiques invisibles que habiten la vida domèstica. El seu llenguatge pictòric obre així un espai de reflexió sobre la fragilitat de la memòria visual i la inestabilitat dels límits entre realitat i imaginació.
