The Investec Cape Town Art Fair 2025 has come to a close after days of engaging discussions, encounters, and reflections on contemporary art. This year, Suburbia Contemporary presented works by Amy Rusch, Kim Karabo Makin, Jake Aikman, Ed Young, and Andrew Kayser, fostering meaningful conversations with collectors, curators, and visitors.
The response to the works reaffirmed the importance of a thoughtful curatorial approach and a selection that resonates with an international audience. Our presence extended beyond the main fair through First Words, part of the Unbound City program—an exhibition presented in collaboration with Galerie EIGEN + ART and hosted by Strauss & Co at Brickfield Canvas. This initiative provided an additional space for dialogue, bridging artistic perspectives across different geographies.
As the fair continues to strengthen its role as a key meeting point for the African and global art scenes, it remains a platform for discovery, critical engagement, and exchange.
