Suburbia Contemporary, Barcelona

In Collaboration with Galerie Eigen+Art

Suburbia Contemporary presents a project featuring Kristina Schuldt and Titus Schade, two artists represented by Galerie Eigen+Art. The presentation takes place at Suburbia Contemporary’s Barcelona space as part of a collaborative program linking the contemporary art communities of Spain and Germany through the Spinnerei Leipzig network.

Kristina Schuldt, born in Moscow in 1982, develops a pictorial language that merges the structural rigor of modernism with the fluidity of contemporary gesture. Her figures, often female, appear fragmented yet resolute, moving within compositions built from precise geometries and layered narratives. Educated at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig under Neo Rauch, she continues to work in Leipzig, exploring the boundaries between abstraction and representation.

Titus Schade, born in Leipzig in 1984, constructs fictional worlds that resemble miniature theaters or architectural models. His paintings translate elements of urban landscapes, industrial archetypes, and stage scenography into meticulously ordered compositions where illusion and reality intertwine. A graduate of the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig, where he studied with Neo Rauch, he lives and works in his hometown, expanding an artistic vocabulary rooted in observation and imagination.
