Giovanni Ozzola is a contemporary visual artist from Italy, born in Florence in 1982. His work spans installations, sculptures, engravings, photography, and video, with a focus on the relationship between light, space, and time. He explores themes such as infinity, the boundary between the visible and the invisible, and the interaction between humans and the environment, often using urban and natural landscapes as metaphors for broader conceptual structures.

His artistic research develops as a process of defining personal insights that transform into visual experiences, forming a reflective trajectory. The works establish internal dialogues, addressing questions of origin, destiny, and individual responsibility within the framework of society and landscape.

Through the use of light and spatial construction, Ozzola creates conditions for critical reflection on the role of the individual in the contemporary world, questioning the relationship between human presence, environment, and political responsibility, while maintaining a balance between intimate perception and public dimension.

He currently lives in the Canary Islands. He has conducted workshops and lectures in various institutions, including Light and Darkness, CAFA China Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing, China; Sometimes You Can See Much More, Shanghai Institute of Visual Art, Shanghai, China; Color Constancy, Syracuse University in Florence, Italy.
